EDA Spatial Knowledge Creation
This class will be focused the intersection of the environment and data science;
highlighting the use of open source software, online data repositories, linked data, data
processing tools and programs to create complex analytic workflows – applied over
space and time. Students will use and/or develop novel algorithms for learning patterns
and predicting outcomes and will explore the underlying methods/approaches in order to
develop a generic environmental-analytic skill set that will prepare students for a wide
variety of potential career paths.
Prerequisites: Entry in MES or MA.
